What can "Browns" do for you?

Well, I hate to say it but, the table is set for the Raiders... healthy and rested from a bye, playing at home, in front of a sell-out against a weak opponent... we all know, with our Defense playing it is, if the O-Line pass protects and opens holes for the running game, we should win today...

Things I have been thinking about...

Watch the tapes from the first two games, watch the O-Line... feet in the mud, off balance, upright, pushing and shoving, leaning vs explosion and punch... in my mind, much of the problem has been fatigue... Coach Shell ran a tough camp, two-a-days, old school pit drills, they prepared for 5 pre-season games... it could be that there were a bit worn down - yes even this early... remember they are also learning completely new blocking techniques... couple physical stress with mental stress and "it is what it is"...

These guys are all excellent professional atheletes... physically tired and mentally tired, they have been reaching, pushing, grabbing instead of firing off the ball and attacking, they have no legs... lets hope this past week off helped them get their legs back...

Lamont Jordan called out the O this week... sounded good, sounding like someone taking a stand, challenging his teammates... my only problem with that... take a look at yourself Lamont - you have been one of the biggest contributors to this mess... your running tentatively, your not picking up your blocking assignments, and when you do, your late... last year you admitted to not studing your assignments... too much talk from Lamont Jordan for my taste...

All this shit about Randy Moss, not playing hard, not being a leader, giving up on plays, not trying to bring down Ray Lewis... is pissing me off... Randy has played hard for us, last year he sacrificed physically, playing when he should have sat... did the prick press and idiot fans that make these comments about Randy see him come off the field a grab Coach Biletnikoff hug him and immediately start talking adjustments?, did they see Moss encouraging, trying to pump up his O-line?... did they heard Andrew Walter's comments about how Randy took him aside in Baltimore and told him that this was his chance, that as QB he needed to take command on the field and be the leader of the team?

Media and Jarrod Cooper's takes on the Jerry Porter issue is sickening as well... Porter playing would make no difference at all at this point... how the heck is he going to get the ball when our O-line is doing what it is doing?... sit the big jerk, plain and simple - until he demonstates somehow to Coach Shell that he is ready to take leadership and direction from the Coaching staff... in the meantime if we can get Mike Williams from Detroit in exchange, I would do cart-wheels...

Finally, I'm worried about Coach Shell's health... he is a diabetic... over 60, stress, lack of sleep, long days... I know he knew what he was getting himself into... but I hope physically it doesn't get the better of him...

As for this week, all we can hope for is the O-line gives Andrew Walter the opportunity to be the "guy"
